If you’re searching for an apartment or house to rent, likely your best bet is to search all of the larger websites for rental listings. Realtor’s are usually not the best resource for rentals as they’re almost exclusively selling homes and not renting them. However, there are times when Realtors have listings and circumstances change where a seller decides to be a renter. Just know that’s a rare event.

Finding Homes to Rent
Your best option to find a home to rent is to call property managers. Many managers specialize in certain locations, especially around Ball State’s Campus like MuncieRentals.com (Middletown Property Group), BSU Campus Rentals, Ratchford Properties, NiceBSURentals.com, among others. These listed above are some of the larger rental companies and they also have expanded to have properties for lease all over the city.
Finding nicer, larger family homes to rent is a challenge locally. I think investors struggle to spend $150,000 or more on a home and charge enough rent to make it profitable. Occasionally, you can find options, but it’s tough.
Finding Apartments to Rent
You’ll see the majority of rentals on the Northside of Muncie closest to the BSU Campus and along McGalliard Road heading West. These options tend to be more expensive than other areas of town.
